What does 'repossessed' mean?

Lenders have the right to repossess any property, including heavy equipment, when the person buying it fails to fulfil the terms of the loan. When a bank/major finance company repossesses something, it wants to recoup at least part of the amount still owed, which means it might sell the item at a reduced price. You often can find heavy equipment in like-new condition at a price well below retail value.

Do I have to bid on the products or can I just buy an item from your list?

As a rule the repossession equipment companies would offer online auctions, host live auctions or sell equipment for a set rate. With an online auction you will need to wait until the end of the auction for the bid to be accepted, you might also have to wait for bank approval before completing the transaction.
Tradebridge Connect is NOT an auction; you DO NOT NEED to bid on the products on our stock list. Simply get in touch to reserve an item you are interested in.

Can I request a particular piece of machinery which is not currently on the stock list?

We would advise you to make a list of the heavy equipment you will need in the months ahead. There is no guarantee what type of repossessed equipment we will receive within our next stock arrival. If you spot an item from your list scheduled up for sale on the website, definitely check it out. It could be months before we get another one for sale.

How can I get more information about a product I am interested in?

Once you have enquired about a particular piece of equipment, we will send you full product specifications and a condition report the same day. Have a good look through and get back in touch with us if you have any questions remaining.

Can I inspect the equipment in person?

As our stock is stored remotely in a specialized heated warehouse, we are unable to arrange previews for purchasers. We understand that buying repossessed assets is sometimes a gamble and you don't want to end up with a lemon. That is why we have gone an extra mile to ensure you are fully aware of the condition of the product and can evaluate whether the price of the equipment is worth any additional cost of repairs if there are any remedial works needed to be done to it.
We guarantee that each machine on our stock list has been "cleaned & checked" by a certified technician.
In the majority of the cases the equipment we stock is in good working order and is ready to be used. However, should there be any repairs to be done to a product, we will make sure you are fully aware of them and will even provide you with an estimate on how much these repairs might cost.
No need for you to spend extra on hiring a qualified mechanic.

Can I return the equipment if I am not fully satisfied with my purchase?

Tradebridge Connect operates an all-sales-are-final policy, which is standard to the industry. The equipment we list is sold in "as is" condition, therefore, we strongly advise you to inspect the specifications and the condition report with care.
Once the sale has been completed, the finance is forwarded to the lender/bank/financial institution and therefore is non-refundable.

What is the sale procedure? Is my purchase guaranteed?

In contrast to other repossessed equipment sellers we do not make you sign any bidding contracts. We do not charge you any entrance fee either.
All you need to do is contact us regarding a particular piece of equipment, receive full details, examine those carefully and, if you are happy to proceed, put in an official written offer on the product.
Once you have made a purchase offer and your offer has been accepted by Tradebridge Connect, you are entering into a mutually binding contractual agreement with Tradebridge Connect. This means that from this point your purchase is guaranteed as long as you arrange your payment in line with the conditions stated in the next section.
Once your payment is received, the item is considered sold and is prepared for dispatch and shippment.

When and how do I pay?

As a rule, if you bid at an auction , you will be expected to make the payment in full within 24 hours of your bid/offer being accepted. At Tradebridge Connect we aim at making the repossession equipment purchase as stress-free for the purchaser as possible. Therefore, we offer an extended period of 72 hours for you to provide the payment confirmation to us. You purchase remains guaranteed during the whole extended period and is made void only if you fail to produce the payment confirmation for no accountable reason. We still advise you to secure the funding for the equipment before you make an official offer. This will allow you to avoid undue pressure once the agreement becomes legally binding.
We do not accept credit cards, therefore the payment can be made by means of a bank transfer on the basis of an issued invoice into the company's business bank account.

How is the equipment stored while it's up for sale with you?

Each piece of equipment we receive undergoes quality testing and check and is stored in accordance with the manufacturer's requirements in an affiliated heated storage facility in the mainland UK.

How is delivery arranged?

At Tradebridge Connect we factor in the delivery when offering the service which we call 'buying repossessed equipment has been made easy. For your convenience, we ship internationally and only use trusted freight carriers, which use professional loading, rigging and means of transportation for heavy-weight goods. Due to the extra heavy weight and specific shipment requirements of the most of the products we stock the common delivery type we choose is sea-land freight. It takes slightly longer for the consignment to arrive, but proves to be the safest and the most economical means of delivery.
